Miley Cyrus grew up in Franklin Tennessee and initially started her career on the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana. She starred as a teen pop star in disguise with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, as one of the supporting actors. She released her first recording album one year after starting her Disney Channel career. This album was certified as quadruple platinum for exceeding four million copies sold. She then released her second album, Breakout, and continued to launch her career as a singer, television personality, and voice actress.

Miley Cyrus began her career in film with her feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie. She then released her third album, Can't Be Tamed, and starred in the film The Last Song, which ultimately displayed Miley branching out from her Disney Channel career. She began exploiting sexual and explicit behavior which made a rise in the media and created widespread controversy. Her newly psychedelic and sexual representation lead to her highest selling album Bangerz witch produced two #1 singles, We Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball. She later independently produced a free online album called Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

Throughout her career Miley has supported numerous charities and lead organisations to help people in need. Some charities that she supports are the Make-a-wish Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, To Write Love on Her Arms, NOH8 Campaign, Love is Louder Than the Pressure to Be Perfect, and The Jed Foundation. Miley Cyrus focuses her attention on helping homeless and gay youth. She came out to her mother as pan-sexual at a young age and was forced to hide her sexuality. Cyrus identifies herself as feminist and gender fluid. Miley Cyrus also expresses that she is a frequent marijuana smoker and follows a strict vegan diet. She motivates her follows to fight for the protection of animals and animals rights.

Her most recent contribution to society is her independently created non-profit organisation ; The Happy Hippie Foundation. The foundation fights injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth, and other vulnerable populations. She often has public events with this organisation to raise awareness and unite to make change. Miley Cyrus has also teamed up with planned parenthood to support women's health. Miley Cyrus has had an exclusive photo shoot in which all proceeds from the 5,500$ prints go directly to planned parenthood. Miley Cyrus has also joined designer Marc Jacobs to raise money for Planned Parenthood. Besides being a controversial pop start, Miley fights to make positive change in society.
