West explored different sounds, styles and genres through his first five albums. His fifth ans sixth album became critically acclaimed and highly praised. His latest album, Life of Pablo was released in 2016.

His bold personality and obscure views have been the center of media attention. He has been looked down on for his rude and inappropriate conduct at public appearances. He is well known for his unscripted denunciation of the president during a live television broadcast for Hurricane Katrina relief. The adidas yeezy boosts were sold out in less than ten minutes when finally released. He later released two more seasons of his Yeezy clothing line.

His clothing and music is sought after and influential in the main stream industry.
